Axtria is privately owned by its employees and a select group of investors. Our Board of Directors includes successful CEOs and entrepreneurs who have worked with Axtria’s founders for years in support of earlier ventures.
Richard Braddock
Rick began his business career in 1965 spending a number of years in product management at General Foods. He joined Citicorp in 1973, was elected to the board of directors in 1985 and was elected president and COO of Citicorp in 1990. Rick resigned from Citicorp in 1992, and subsequently served as CEO of Medco Containment Services, Inc. until its acquisition by Merck & Co., Inc., and then spent a year as a principal at Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, Inc. Rick served as Chairman (non-executive) of True North Communications Inc. from December, 1997 to January, 1999; Chairman and CEO of priceline.com from August, 1998 to April, 2004; and Chairman of MidOcean Partners from April, 2003 until December, 2007. Rick was appointed Chairman of FreshDirect in 2005 and became Chairman and CEO in March, 2008.
Rick serves on the board of directors of Eastman Kodak Company (lead director), Fresh Direct Holdings, Inc., Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Cristo Rey Network, and several private companies. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
Amarpreet Sawhney
Amar is the President and CEO of Octux, Inc. a company focused on unmet needs in ophthalmic surgical wound closure and drug delivery. Previously, he was Founder and CEO of Confluent Surgical (acquired by Covidien), a biosurgery company. He was Chairman of marketRx (acquired by Cognizant), a provider of pharmaceutical marketing and sales analytics and intelligence. Before Confluent, Amar was the technology founder of Focal, Inc. (acquired by Genzyme). Amar’s innovations are the subject of almost 100 issued and pending patents. He is a board member of Soteira, Square One and TiE Boston. He is a board member and founder of Access Closure, Octux, Augmenix, and Incept LLC. Amar volunteers his time with entrepreneurial organizations including TiE Boston, MassMedic, and the E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year program.
Amar and Confluent have been recognized with awards including MassMedic best startup company award, Frost and Sullivan Product innovation award, MIT Global Indus Technovators Award, E&Y regional entrepreneur of the year award, Mass High Tech All Star award, and University of Texas Outstanding Young Engineering Graduate award. Amar holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and a B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi.
Jaswinder (Jassi) S Chadha
Jassi co-founded Axtria with the vision of building cutting-edge analytics and technology solutions that will help global companies effectively manage and get insights from customer data. Jassi is a pioneer in building advanced analytical software tools for designing sales forces. He has provided marketing strategies to a number of major global clients. Clients value his intelligence, perspective and commitment to the highest quality of service. In recognition of his leadership and entrepreneurial achievements, Jassi is the winner of 2004 E&Y “Entrepreneur of the Year” award and was awarded the year 2003 “Top Forty under Forty” by NJBiz Magazine. He is currently on the board of New Jersey Technology Council (NJTC), and is a Chartered Member and President of New Jersey-Philadelphia Chapter of The Indus Entrepreneur (TiE) organization. Previously, Jassi was Founder and CEO of marketRx, which was acquired by Cognizant Technology Solutions in November 2007.
